The Flare, the official student publication of Cavite State University – Imus Campus, formally turned over its editorial leadership to a new editorial board on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at the CvSU gymnasium.

The newly inducted staff, led by Editor-in-Chief Mark Jayson Pascua, pledged to continue upholding the publication’s standards of responsible campus journalism. In his statement, Pascua emphasized the board’s commitment to bridging the gap between the students and the administrat

ion.

“As the 13th editorial board enters the publication year for 2025–2026, we are obliged to build better communication with the students and the administration. Mas panghahawakan natin ang objective ng pagiging isang maka-estudyante or pro-people publication ng Cavite State University – Imus Campus,” Pascua said.

Pascua emphasized his commitment to raising the standards of the student publication by ensuring that the outputs of The Flare reflect both excellence and quality. He also recognized the foundation laid by the former editorial board and staff, stressing the importance of continuity while striving for further improvement.

The Flare is set to release its first issue under the new editorial board within the semester, carrying with it the renewed vision of fostering stronger student-administration relations and producing high-quality campus journalism for the CvSU Imus community. [F]
