Alpine Skier Tallulah Proulx placed top-50 finish in women’s slalom in the Winter Olympics 2026 last Wednesday, February 18.

She finished the race with a combined time of 2 minutes, 8.48 seconds over two runs, placing her on the 50th out of 95 skiers. Meanwhile, in the giant slalom event, Proulx placed 52nd with a total time of 2:41.62.

Proulx carved her name in history as the first Filipina Winter Olympian, and youngest athlete to represent the Philippines at the Winter Games.

Looking back, Proulx shared her experience with the Olympics and said that she is proud of her performance.

"It's been such an amazing experience. You know, I met so many people that I've looked up to a lot, and I met so many amazing other athletes. Also, just the whole racing experience was surreal. It was amazing, you know, going down and going through the finish line and seeing all the people cheering and supporting," Proulx said in an interview.

"I think that it was really good for me to have experience like being able to go to the Philippines and get and experience the world stage and high level competitions internationally at a young age so that I can grow even further. And it was just so inspirational being here," she added.

She might not get a medal for Team Philippines, but she made her mark on the said event. She proved that Filipina can compete in anything and that is the victory itself. Her performance resonated deeply in showcasing the strength of Filipinas globally.
