"...But in terms of research, gusto kong paigtingin yung involvement talaga ng students pagdating sa research," stated Dr. Agnes C. Francisco on one of her plans to strengthen faculty and student research collaboration in an interview on Thursday, March 12, 2026.

Dr. Francisco, the former director of the Knowledge Management Center (KMC) of CvSU Main Campus, wants to motivate students to participate in research collaborations, with the project funded by the university because it has monetary incentives. In a meeting with the program department chairs, they happened to be not fully aware of the said matter.

"...Well, for my part as [a] faculty member of the College of Arts and Sciences where we collaborate with students pagdating sa research projects. So we involve them, or we give them a chance para maging part ng isang funded research. ‘Yun, ‘yun ‘yung gusto kong ma-improve dito," she added.

In addition, Dr. Francisco plans to continue to achieve the strategic framework of CVSU ASCEND, in which the former dean, Dr. Armi Grace Desinagano, already has contributed.

"...Pero definitely lahat po nang nakalagay [in CVSU ASCEND], it's already contributed by our past administrator, Dr. Armi Grace Desingaño. So kung ano naman yung nilagay na plano ng ating past campus administrator, ‘yun naman po ay tutuloy natin," she added.

Meanwhile, Dr. Armi Grace Desingano's sudden resignation was not disclosed. Dr. Francisco was appointed in a turnover ceremony at the CvSU Campus Gymnasium on Monday, March 9, 2026.
