CvSU Kilos Na! (CKN) calls a petition urging the University to suspend all classes, in commemoration of the 40th anniversary of the EDSA People Power Revolution on February 25.

The petition gathered over 1,000 signatures from students, including student leaders from CvSU Main Campus and its satellite campuses as of Feb. 19.

CKN continuously urges scholars from all CvSU’s satellite campuses to sign the petition to uphold the commemoration of the event that collectively ousted the country’s dictator.

“Ang suspensiyon ng klase ay hindi pagtanggi sa edukasyon; ito ay pagpapalawak ng edukasyon tungo sa mas malalim na pag-unawa sa kasaysayan, kritikal na pag-iisip, at integridad ng diwa ng demokrasya,” CvSU Kilos Na! added.

The University Office of Student Affairs is currently handling the appeal, expecting to forward it to the Office of the University President on Feb. 23, Monday.

Mass academic walkouts, organized by various organizations, are expected to commence on February 25 if the appeal is denied.

This follows the announcement of the Palace through Proclamation No. 1006, declaring February 25, 2026, a special working holiday.

CKN is the longest-serving progressive, democratic, and pro-student party alliance in Cavite State University. [F]
