Cavite State University Imus Campus opened its 22nd Founding Anniversary celebration, December 11, at the CvSU Imus Campus Gymnasium, carrying the theme “22 Years of Transformative Education: Honoring the Past, Celebrating the Present, and Empowering the Future.”
The program commenced with an invocation and the National Anthem, followed by the welcome remarks of Dr. Christina M. Signo, Vice President for Academic Affairs.
In her message, Signo emphasized the significance of the anniversary, noting that the campus’ journey reflects its foundation, progress, and future opportunities.
“Sa bawat hakbang na ating tinatahak, tandaan nating lahat na ang ating nakaraan dito sa Imus Campus ang pundasyon, ang kasalukuyan ay patunay, at ang hinaharap ay pagkakataon. Ang ating dalawampu't dalawang taon ay hindi lamang nasusukat sa bilang kundi pati sa simbolo ng pagbabago at pag-asa”, she said.
Campus Coordinator Dr. Armi Grace B. Desingaño then introduced Lauro D. Monzon, Imus City Administrator and representative of Mayor Alex Advincula, who delivered the mayor’s message to the community.
"For 22 years, CvSU Imus has been more than an institution, it has been a catalyst for change. As you mark this anniversary, move forward with renewed vigor, carrying the lessons of the past, the joy of the present, and steadfast commitment to a future [with] limitless possibilities”, he said.
The program also featured the recognition of institutional partners and an audio-visual presentation highlighting the campus’s history, milestones, and the insights of former administrators.
University officials and guests later led the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Trade Fair and Extension Exhibit, which presented booth displays, poster exhibits, and innovation outputs from various departments and partner organizations.
