The Cavite Communicators (CavComm) has received the “Most Outstanding School Organization” for their contribution and service to the youth and community, granted by the City Government of Imus during the Outstanding Kabataan Awards 2025 at New Imus City Government Center, December 10.

CavComm President John Jerich Levantino states that  the organization has shifted from committee-based structure to volunteer-driven method, with the use of grassroot leadership approach and the Assess Based Community Development (ABCD) framework, allowing students to lead not just to follow, embracing their talents, skills and creativity.

“We benefit the youth by encouraging participation, developing their skills, and helping them grow into leaders. CavComm molds students who can serve not only our organization but also the community they belong to” he said.

The recognition reminds CavComm that they had been in the right direction, and sets a standard for future leaders to aim higher and take initiative.

“The recognition inspires us to collaborate with more organizations, and the fund we received will help us sustain and expand student-centered activities” he added.

Moreover, CavComm will implement the Safe Space Act and Butterfly Campaign with International Association of Women in Radio and Television (IAWRT), promoting Women Empowerment to support the students in creating a safer and more inclusive environment.

The organization will also hold the Gawad Periodista Award, recognizing the students for their efforts and extracurricular activities. [F]
