Vice President Sara Duterte announces that she will run for president in the 2028 national elections during press conference today, February 18.

Meanwhile, VP Duterte apologizes for helping President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. win 2022 presidential elections.

“Mga kababayan, humihingi ako ng paumanhin sa inyong lahat. Patawad kung tinulungan kong mahalal si BBM bilang Pangulo ng ating bansa." she said.

VP Duterte said she was taking full responsibility for her political decisions and acknowledged public frustration over current issues in the country.
